Bend Oregon Project / Michael Vearrier's Shop / May 2012

This last week brought us great weather and a lot of productivity on Michael Vearrier's shop. Not only did we get the roof up, we got the concrete apron completed and even got a chance to spruce up the concrete entry on Michael and Amy's home. It turned out fantastic!!

Roof framing

Notice the roof is built on the ground, then raised with a crane. We find doing it this way is much safer and of better quality.

We begin to frame in the walls.

Bend Oregon Project / Michael Vearrier's Shop / May 2012

Now that the land has been cleared and prepped, we got off to a great start with the foundation for the pole structure. As it's getting closer to summer the weather has been good, which makes for clear sailing on the project. It's exciting to see Michael Vearrier's "Super Shop" begin to take shape.

Final hand rodding and compaction for the concrete floor.

Notice how little the concrete truck leaves tracks. That's good compaction!
